John Gillespie serves as Netezza’s Vice President and General Manager for their global telecommunications business. Mr. Gillespie brings over 20 years of experience delivering complex leading edge solutions to the blobal telecommunications marketplace. Prior to Netezza, John served as Vice President of Global Sales and Corporate Development for NexTone Communications, a leading pioneer in Voice over IP and IMS Session Management Solutions where he grew their customer base from zero to over 500 of the largest global network operators. Prior to NexTone, John managed North America sales for nCUBE, a pioneer and leading provider of video server solutions for the cable and telecommunications industry owned by Larry Ellison that has since been acquired by Arris (Nasdaq: ARRS). Prior to joining nCUBE, John managed telecommunications sales for the Eastern US for Sequent, which has since been acquired by IBM. John has also held various other management roles consulting to the telecommunications industry.
