Mark Drasutis is currently driving the Yahoo! Media Products team to embrace new Social and Open strategies across EU and also ensuring that Yahoo! is delivering a highly relevant and engaging content experience to all of our users.
Mark Drasutis has more than a decade of digital media experience, defining and delivering creative, user-focused solutions within both media and new media organisations. Mark brings creative vision, strategic thinking and strong leadership to the Yahoo! Media Products team and also with his strong technical understanding, helps us communicate the ‘why, how and what’, across the organization to achieve the most compelling, user focused, online experiences.
Before joining Yahoo! in late 2007, Mark delivered a number of successful, large scale, high impact, high revenue internet and publishing system projects for EMAP, The Economist, Sportal and AOL. His key achievements include developing AOL’s Social Media Toolkit (web service) for use across multiple AOL product offerings and content channels across Europe.
Mark Drasutis also enabled the move of AOL UK to HTML content and web publishing systems, enabling and the opening of its content products to the web. He also helped define and deliver the current Economist.com, including the content management systems, processes and data flows, data modelling, information architecture and UI.
