Damien Santé is Director of Business Development in IBM´s European unit* for the Telecommunications Industry.
Damien Santé joined IBM in July 2013 after 20 years of various sales, business development, strategy and transformation leadership roles in the B2B high-tech industry around the world.
Prior to joining IBM, Damien led the European business development of IZP, a fast-growing Chinese start-up having developed an innovative big-data analytics engine enabling unique audience targeting for advertisement based on telecoms operators data. IZP is leading in its domain on the massive Chinese market of nearly 600 million internet users.
Prior to IZP, Damien was heading NSN’s Strategy & Business Development for sales and services globally during 2011-2012. He has in particular been amongst the core members designing and implementing NSN’s radical company transformation that saw the company boosting its profits in 1.5 years after a complete re-design of the company’s core business and strategy.
Prior to this role, Damien was General Manager of a global account team at NSN for a large global telecoms operator in 2010-2012, leading a business of several hundreds of M€ per annum with 200 direct team members in 12 countries across EMEA.
Before this, Damien held several management positions at NSN, Nokia and Lucent Technologies in sales, systems integration services and product line management
Damien completed studies in Telecommunication Engineering at Telecom ParisTech in France in 1992, including research at the University of Maryland in the USA.
