Domagoj Jurjevic

Vice Chair 2014

2015 Edition, 19 November / Digital regulation plenary session

I am Deputy President of the Council of Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM).

During my ten years of service at HAKOM and prior to my current role, I held the position of Head of the Market Analysis Department and as Deputy Director of HAKOM. During the 2014 I served as a Vice-Chair of Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC).

I have gained extensive experience in the area of wholesale and retail electronic communications market regulation as well as valuable experience in leading of multi-professional project teams (economists, engineers and lawyers) working on market analysis of different telecom markets (broadband market, IPTV market, fixed telephony markets, mobile telephony markets, etc.). I also took part in preparing the alignment of operators in Croatia with the provisions of the Roaming Regulation at the time of Croatia’s accession to the EU. Recently, on behalf of HAKOM and BEREC I have been involved in the process regarding the abolition of roaming charges in the EU as well as in the process of preparing the positions of HAKOM and BEREC in terms of the forthcoming changes of the telecom regulatory framework needed to meet the goals of the Digital Single Market Strategy of the European Commission. I have long experience in the international activities with EU institutions and other National Telecom Regulatory Authorities across Europe as HAKOM’s representative in the BEREC.

I have earned my university degree in Finances from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics and I am currently finishing my Postgraduate Specialist Study on Electronic Communications Market Regulation at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.

I am fluent in English, Spanish and Italian and have a fair knowledge of French.
