Georg Graetz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Uppsala University, an Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics, and a Research Affiliate at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn. He obtained his PhD in Economics in 2014 and a BSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics in 2009, both from the London School of Economics. His research interests include the effects of technological progress on productivity, wages and employment; the effects of educational outcomes, such as performance in university degrees, on earnings; as well as the determinants of human capital investments. In recent work, joint with Guy Michaels (LSE), he found that industrial robots contributed about 0.4 percentage points to annual growth in advanced economies between 1993-2007.
