John Nesky joined thatgamecompany as Feel Engineer at the beginning of 2011. As the lead camera developer on the record-breaking Playstation Network release Journey, John took on the challenge of designing a graceful dynamic camera, discovering principles for expressive yet accessible camera behavior. Additionally, he refined the character movement and player controls, translating player intent into action.

John started his professional game development career at San Francisco’s ZipZapPlay in 2007.

With a passion for empowering creativity, John develops tools for game developers, including chiptune composition tool Beep Box. John, an active member of the online independent game community, also makes iPhone, Facebook and Flash games in his free time.
