Ralf is Partner of next47, the newly formed Venture Unit at Siemens into which SVC has merged.
Ralf Schnell is responsible for the worldwide activities of Siemens Venture Capital (SVC) with offices in Europe, USA and Asia. The business scope of SVC covers Siemens’ Divisions corporate venture capital programs, a private equity advisory mandate for managing Siemens’ Pension Trust Private Equity portfolio and management of the VC fund-of-funds ‘Siemens Global Innovation Partners’ also for further European institutional investors.
Before joining Siemens Venture Capital as CEO in 2005, Ralf has built up Infineon Technologies corporate venture capital activities since 1998 and was Managing Director of Infineon Ventures GmbH.
Prior to joining Infineon Technologies in 1998, Ralf worked with Siemens AG for 11 years. He held various positions in innovation management, microelectronics and software development and corporate research. He obtained his diploma degree and PhD in physics.
