MD PhD, Head of the health services research unit
« Value-based payment: the future of E-health? »
A physician by training, I have worked in the outcomes research sector designing and implementing trials of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
My current role is at Montpellier teaching hospital (CHU de Montpellier), managing a team in charge of the assessment of health technology including: pharmaceuticals, medical device & equipment, and e-health innovations. We provide policy-makers with research information about the effectiveness, costs and broader impact of innovations. We are also involved in the hospital-based health technology assessment program and in health services research with a focus on equity issues.
I am a founding member of the academic chair on e-health of the University of Montpellier.
My research interests focus on three main areas:
– The costing of hospital services;
– The geographic variation in health care utilization and outcomes;
– The description and classification of health care pathways.
